This Shaker Heights kitchen was transformed from a small space to an open, multifunctional area with unique touches and restored originality. Some features of this kitchen include: a Bertazzoni Range from Italy, cabinet finish to brighten the room, two prep centers, a contemporary stainless steel fridge, a full width stone counter and a Shaw fireclay farmhouse sink complimented by a Rohl bridge faucet in polished nickel. The home’s original maid’s buzzer was repaired to bring authenticity back to the space.
In addition to this kitchen project, other parts of the home were restored architecturally, including a custom radiator box that was built in the great room to mimic architectural details found elsewhere in the house. The powder room adjacent to the kitchen was partially gutted and redone with a modified floor plan.
