This Shaker Heights kitchen (plus) project focuses on simple details to bring out the true beauty of the space. It features custom quarter sawn oak cabinets that match the homes original architecture, in-cabinet lighting that highlights the handmade glass door inserts, a symmetrical backsplash layout that includes golden stone and Motawi Tileworks cuenca style glazed tile, handmade crown molding brackets, and thin-strip flooring. Other features of this project include a pantry, double ovens, a large fridge, and additional storage.
The two-door back entry is connected by steps and now includes lockers and coat hooks. Creative planning allowed an old closet to be converted into a full bath featuring a nicely sized shower, pedestal lav, and toilet. The third floor includes a study area, bedroom, and full bath with two lavs.
